He didn't react immediately to Reid's voice, though his name lingered on the edge of his periphery, poking at his groggy mind, still sluggish with the anesthetic working its way out of his system. It took far more effort than it ordinarily would, but he finally opened his eyes to half-mast and managed to turn his head just enough so that his eyes could settle on Reid's face.
